KIDS OF COURAGE
Since 2014, Beit Halochem Canada’s Kids of Courage initiative offers the children of disabled Israeli veterans a chance to experience and enjoy a Canadian summer of camp adventures, new friendships, meaningful activities, and lifelong memories.
Injury affects the entire family and BHC’s Kids of Courage program serves as a welcome break from the challenges of being the children of disabled parents.
At overnight camps in Northern Ontario, these young Israelis share in the full overnight camp experience including cabin life and and typical camp adventures with Canadian campers.
Year after year, the Israelis and Canadians discover that the similarities outweigh the differences in their lives.
In Summer 2026, 55 Bar and Bat Mitzvah-aged children of injured Israeli veterans had the time of their lives at camp.
Pre- and post-camp, our young Israeli visitors enjoyed Toronto attractions and met community members at pool parties and BBQs!
